  2. Might be a long first year in the B10 eh? I didn't see Carsen Ryan play in our spring game. We are pretty loaded with talent at TE with Landon King and Brant Kuithe, But there is no way Ryan doesn't play. He's too talented and productive. I'm guessing a lot of jumbo packages along with some catches. He's a big boy. Kuithe and King could play some WR. Both are tall but not 250 lbs. Outside of Oregon, Michigan, Penn State and Ohio State, I don't know who is supposed to be good this year. USC is a hit and miss operation and I think Brennan was a terrible choice as UW's coach. Michigan should be up there unless Moore can't coach. UCLA was picked 14th in the pre-season spring power rankings by Athlon. https://athlonsports.com/college-football/big-ten-football-spring-2024-power-rankings

  4. Oof, Jay Toia enters to he portal. UCLA is definitely light on talent. Thanks Chip!
  5. Democratic People's Republic of Western Sports
  6. Some questions regarding the portal and NIL, for both football and basketball: ✓ What is your reaction to all of the current portal movement? Is this sustainable? ✓ Do you expect your team to lose more or to gain more from the portal? In football? In basketball? ✓ If you feel that the portal and NIL are a mess the way they are, how would you fix them? Who can do it?
  7. I'll take "Not Happening" for $300 Alex.
  8. This article summarizes the proposed 80 team "super league" from "Turnkey ZRG" that would re-organize college football with 8 new primarily geographic conferences (including the old Pac10), and new rules for revenue sharing and transfers etc. The B1G teams would be separated into 3 separate regional conferences. Turnkey includes some significant individuals in media and college sports: Devils/Sixers owner David Blitzer, NFL executive Brian Rolapp, Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam, Syracuse chancellor Kent Syverud and TurnkeyZRG chairman and CEO Len Perna. I have no idea how viable it is in the real world, but it does seem workable at first glance. https://www.sportico.com/leagues/college-sports/2024/college-football-super-league-pitch-deck-1234775652/
  9. First thing we should do is make HLB a mod. That way he can stop all the unfair treatment of him and racial slander. Nobody knows college athletics better than that guy.
  10. How about "The People's Republic of Western Sports"?
  11. Idaho is a shithole. Alabama of the west. Too bad, because it is one of the most beautiful states in the country otherwise.
  12. Some update. More hopefully will come: Coeur d’Alene police chief Lee White said last week that about 100 people were around the area the night of the incidents. He has said there are two state charges that could be enforced — malicious harassment and disorderly conduct — if someone is arrested. White also said he was working with the FBI. Far-right extremists have maintained a presence in the region for years. In 2018, at least nine hate groups operated in the region of Spokane and northern Idaho, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. When a resolution denouncing racism and hate speech in response to the incidents with the Utah team was introduced in the Idaho Senate last week, several Republican senators expressed doubts about the accounts or said they were unfamiliar with the situation. They debated for about 30 minutes before voting to approve the resolution. https://apnews.com/article/march-madness-utah-hate-crime-idaho-f63fa199ec2a5aa8db0dda3621cc047f
  13. All I know is I won't ever be posting on any board with you on it going forward. I hate all B10 fans. They are rude and classless. Especially Oregon fans. Consider this my walking papers if you stay on this board.
  14. The Board Formerly Known as the PAC-12 Board?
  15. I know he "Lives Life to it's Fullest."
  16. I'd love to see this board stick around in some form or another. I feel like it needs a clever name to draw more attention from all of us displaced fans. Let's put our heads together, kids! How 'bout Pac-12 Zombies?
  17. Orange

    Random

Gotta buy a kid in my neighborhood lunch for this.
  18. I like this idea too. There isn’t really a good Big12 or even B1G forum that I could find. Maybe this would give a place for those fans that want to discuss more than just their preferred team/school.

  20. Is Chris Burgess leaving for the BYU job?
  21. Says the guys who quotes his own tweets.
  22. That's a cool idea, and similar to what @mugtang proposed. I'm in favor of either. I like the group we have here (mostly), so keeping us all intact would be cool. I'll certainly continue to follow duck, husky, and other former pac-12 schools regardless. Plus I have a feeling we'll all be back in the same conference again before trump's second term (and the destruction of democracy) ends.
  23. RIP espn boards and collegefanatics.
  24. I think the name Pac-2/B1G/Big12/ACC Board rolls right off the tongue.
  25. Oh my gosh. I forgot what a self promoting asshole Kato Kaelin is.
