  1. The Women’s water polo national champion wil be: The winner of Cal vs. Stanford vs. The winner of USC vs. UCLA
  2. It’s a pretty good deal, especially since it’s a fair catch — I think many will take it & hope for the additional roughing-the-fair-catcher penalties (pac-12 refs, after all.) Anyone want to do the research and figure out what the average non-touchback return length & 1st-down yardline was over the past few years?
  3. Once you realize Nebraska had exactly 9 wins in 2016, 2014, 2013, 2011, 2008 & 2006 it makes it a lot less confusing why they picked that metric. Same reason they picked 1962, I suspect.
  4. I felt the same about this article about Qualcomm/Jack Murphy. https://www.voiceofsandiego.org/topics/land-use/the-four-big-differences-between-soccercity-and-sdsu-west/
  5. ASU ... https://twitter.com/doughaller/status/715227515116060673
  6. Not at all -- It was in response to Bug catching me confusing "Central" and "Downtown" LA
  7. Funny enough, that 7-11 is like 2 blocks from technically being in "downtown" http://maps.latimes.com/neighborhoods/neighborhood/downtown/
  8. Just checked google street view https://goo.gl/maps/C8SubDGhBsC2& totally remember that strip mall because it had a 2-for-1 Pizza (that was ingenuously both its name & marketing advantage). The 7-11 was probably there but I don't remember it. My apartment was on the other side of campus Cooincidentally, it's across the street from the massive 1920s Spanish-style AAA office where my grandfather worked in the 30s before my mom was born.
  9. Pardon my non-nativeness for being a few miles off the mark. 7-11? This is Central LA -- bodegas and more bodegas
  10. 7-11? This is Downtown LA -- bodegas and more bodegas
  11. Slightly OT: When I went to USC in the stone age, there was the dumpiest of strip malls across from campus. Here's what it looks like today: https://www.youtube.com/embed/O7SycCUtpNE
  12. No -- but it is the NCAA that forbids USC to list his name, number or likeness.

  14. What type of donor do you need to be & how did they get this by the p12 regulations? Simply that it is not available to the general public?
  15. Talk leaking out of a planned new club at the peristyle end of the coliseum that will serve alcohol on game-days. Apparently it will be "outside" the stadium so outside Pac-12 regulation. Wouldn't be surprised if it was only avail for big boosters & season ticket holders, like Cal's. Oh, I guess that's not an athletic facility -- so OT
  16. Kinda surprised that the mid-field logo isn't bigger
