  1. Oof, Jay Toia enters to he portal. UCLA is definitely light on talent. Thanks Chip!
  2. Some of us are on our third version posting together so I suspect we are cool with whatever we end up doing. We were posting on the ESPN message boards in 2000 and here we all are still, all be it just in small quantities
  3. Someone already offered more
  4. Point Loma alum! No idea past that!
  5. Betts is better than Reese but we kept jacking up shots
  6. Would be nice but our coach is ****** Lavin
  7. Would be a major upgrade for USC.
  8. Plus we have this call which I still can’t believe was called an offensive foul last year but it was Tony Padilla haha
  9. I should amend my statement slightly. Their average stays the same, it’s the opponents numbers who deviate more so. This year opponents shot 19 FTs in their own arena while in McKale, they shot an average of just 12.7. The difference for Utah? About 1 and change. UCLA? Less than one in home/road splits. Last year was about the only year it wasn’t a difference of at least four. There is something to be said about a deserved home court advantage, but once the tournament comes that advantage is gone. IMO that plays a part of their struggles. https://www.teamrankings.com/ncaa-basketball/stat/opponent-free-throws-attempted-per-game
  10. Arizona's issues have always been centered around the officials. They've managed to feast on the officials in conference and get to the lines easily enough but come the tournament, that advantage is taken away and they struggle. The conference allowing them to do that and getting away with it in McKale for so long has been, IMO, a disservice to their tournament hopes. They've never been able to adapt as well.
  11. He’s got some red flags but if you are transferring to Mick on your third school, both parties should know what they are getting themselves into. 7th school in 7 years
  12. Sounds like ucla will land much traveled Skyy Clark.
  13. Standord hires WSUs Smith
  14. Kyle Ford is grad transferring out of UCLA after being mostly MIA last year after transferring to UCLA from USC. We offered more recruits under Foster than Chip Kelly did in the last 10 months.
  15. Hopefully we are seeing the final Tony Padilla game ever.
  16. Adem Bona is defensive player of the year and the only kid not three years removed from high school to make the all conference list, which shows you that experience matters right now. Or that the underclassmen sucked.
  17. Kyle Andrew Smith is the easy hire.
  18. Cronin is generally loved by his players though year might be something different because winning cures all. I think UCLA wouldn’t want to lose cRonin but 20 million is 20 million.
  19. The thoroughbreds in Kentucky? In all seriousness, I dont think there is a chance he leaves UCLA unless it was to beat the firing squad and UCLA is a patient school. A few of the other blue bloods would have him on life support after this sort of season, but the Final Four run earned him some good will obviously. The Euro-misstep will get him next year. He has some warts, but coaching isn't one of them. Ohio State also lingers out there, but he moved his daughter and his ex-wife out to LA. I doubt either want to go back to the midwest area, Ohio especially. Cronin also has a large buyout and this season would make a program looking at him, pause.
  20. Kyle Smith could coach him if Cronin leaves
