Outside of the 70s, UCLA doesn't move on coaches very fast. Unless you paid 80 dollars on a dinner tab and fired the only coach who ever won a title not named John wooden

The problem is when it gets tough, Mick wants to do things through guys in his circle of trust. It's great when they are the best players. It's not great when they are low ceiling players on a team not going anywhere. Nwuba, Lazar, and Will McClellan are nice, but we are getting blown out. Why play guys like that? You aren't developing your core players for the future. So they listen in practice and you trust them. You need your younger guys to get experience and make mistakes. Leaving them buried on the bench isn't helping anyone. And recruit a PG

Daniels is getting the kiss of death. Well, other than getting drafted by the Bears, who should take other positions than QB right now, considering they have fired everyone but one coach on the offensive side of the ball. Can't imagine they get anyone worthwhile now. Daniels reminds me of Zach Wilson, so that can't be a great comparison. But much like Bo Nix, getting a lot of maturity and a change of scenery did wonders to save their careers.

This type of pressure is what Penix will see in the NFL on a daily basis and he won't have the best WR corp in all of football. Combined that with that low angle throwing motion, it will be hard to be anything more that a legendary college QB. But I hope he does well because I want to see a lefty do well in the pros. I could also be the HLB of QB scouting too
