Now that the powers that be have determined that beginning in 2014 no conference will be AQ Id imagine that the money that the Big East was expecting from their new TV contract will be signifigantly less than it would have been, do you think SDSU and BSU will still go? Rumors are spreading that they may stay put, supposedly that's why the MWC stopped at 10 Schools.

i think if they stay in the MWC, the conference will be about the same as the Big East, SOS wise, and with the MWC-CUSA championship factored in, money from the new Big East and MWC might be pretty close, and they wouldn't have to travel cross country.

Also hearing the WAC may disolve entirely, leaving BSU with no options in all other sports.

If the media deal puts them at 5 mil or more, then they still go......less than that, I would have to think they are puckering/sweating a bit to stay.

If they do in fact stay, BYU may have to think long and hard about turning back to the MWC with hat in hand. It makes too much sense for them to be there. They might make a little more money with Indy, but their overall athletic department is much further ahead in the MWC, and it gives their fb team a clearer and more publicly accepted path to BCS bowls/Final Four.

Especially if the new TV deal is more favorable per school with interconference agreements with them and CUSA. Potential is there.

I still think there is a puncher's chance the B12-2 rekindles discussions with a new commissioner.
