glduck
Would love a move to Spring and get a full round robin in.
dtd
My concern with spring is having a ton of guys sit out because the draft is right around the corner.
glduck
Oh I think they absolutely sit, but I just don’t see how we play in the fall.

Orange
Expect a total cancellation of the season before mid-August. Florida just had 15k cases on Saturday alone.

Scscsc89
FWIW, CFB twitter is reporting that college presidents would prefer not to do a spring football season. If the Fall 2020 season gets cancelled, they'll just wait for Fall 2021.

I think it's significantly more than that. 3 million cases, 133k deaths works out to around 4%. Four percent of 15,000 = 600.

Yeah, until all those kids infect their pee-paw and nana and whoever else they come into contact with. And then there’s exponential growth of infections with a totally opened, republican-led state. Aren’t you tired of being wrong yet?
KUGRDON
Dude, read your post. “Four percent of 15,000 = 600” You clearly don’t understand the data. Of course those young folks have the capacity to spread, but you were talking deaths among the 15,000. Wrong. Org style, abandon position and change subject. In California death rate among those age 18 to 30 is .07% of those with Covid. 83 deaths among 112,873 cases in that age group. Many here, including myself, have long noted the danger of much of a much larger death count than those among college athletes. Nothing new there. He said "based on US Current COVID death rates". That particular stat include 3.3 million cases, 133,000 deaths. That's 4%, you diabetic dumbass. Everytime you fucking talk you get dumber and dumber. We can only hope you're licking doorknobs. Also, you have no fucking idea what the cohort was for that 15k infections. They were Saturday, assmunch. You have a demographic breakdown already? Who are you, Watson the Computer?
KUGRDON
And he was calculating possible deaths among college athletes based on overall death rate as were you. Wrong.

dtd
The narrative that it's only deaths that matter, is fucking stupid, and the narrative that people over 65 or with comorbidities somehow don't matter, is fucking despicable.
KUGRDON
Again, calculating probable deaths among college athletes using death rate among all Covid cases is unreliable because different age groups have vastly different death rates. Hint: When you are correct you don’t have to spit and sputter.

Totally agree. The posts being discussed were calculating probable deaths among college athletes. Nobody was stating other deaths don’t matter, at least I wasn’t.
