Jon Wilner obtained through public records of correspondence between Oregon president Michael Schill, Colorado chancellor Phil DiStefano and Washington president Ana Mari Cauce from this June 2020.  The upshot is that the actual decision makers on campus are looking at alternatives to Larry Scott.

The key quote is Schill stating "if it is the entire structure and composition of the PAC 12 as we discussed on the call, then I wonder whether consultants whose main experience is from the business world would be appropriate."

In my mind, considering the structure and composition of the Pac 12 opens a wide range of possibilities.  Conference expansion and contraction are both plausible scenarios for the Pac 12.  Personally, I think a decision like the 1959 decision to dissolve the PCC and then form a new conference is the most obvious option simply because Washington State and Oregon State have different

The nine Pac 12 schools that are AAU members are likely to stick together no matter what happens.  Wazzou and the Beavers need to be in an athletic conference they can afford to be competitive in because the current economics of their membership in the Pac 12 is not sustainable.  Arizona State is a wild card because they have grown their enrollment online so much since the university of phoenix closed and that gives the university more of a teaching mission (like Cal State schools) than a research focus like AAU universities necessarily have.

I'm curious what changes to the structure and composition of the conference could be.  Please explain your speculation about the outcome rather than simply make a prediction.

Is this a homework assignment or?

Please provide, in detail, the remainder of the first bold sentence. My balls is blue over here.

Can't properly post a link, chopped up/incomplete sentences, lack of punctuation, lame open question with requirements that OP himself doesn't follow, etc.

Yep, this is definitely the OP of a realignment thread!
