And also how many major cities are within its footprint.  You got Kansas City to the west, St. Louis to the east and the likes of Chicago, Memphis, Indianapolis, Cincinnati within driving range, etc plus a 1 1/2 hour flight from Dallas.  People also forget that Mizzou along with Kansas underachieved in football for like 40 years before making some runs to the Big 12 North title in the 2000s.

Corvallis is a better footprint.  We've got LA to the South, Seattle to the North, Tokyo to the west, and Paris to the east.  #JalapenioHotTakes
