Harrell would make sense but since he just signed an extension, won’t come cheap (for someone who has never been an HC).

I can't imagine any OC contract doesn't have language against being hired for promotional reasons, tho maybe after the Kingsbury stuff, USC put safeguards in for that specific reason

I would say this is a loss for the conference in terms of visibility and entertainment, but not necessarily for WSU. Leach had reached his ceiling IMO, and showed no willingness to change things up to break through the ceiling. A Graham Harrell hire could be really positive.

I didn't say he can't leave -- just that it won't be cheap.

(rare triple-negative in your sentence so if I misread the intent of your message, that's why)

Don't know if Pac is better or worse losing Leach, but guessing it got more boring.

Missed him when he got fired at TT before CU's last season in the Big 12.  Having watched Leach all those years in both conferences, there might be some unpleasant withdrawal symptoms.

Guess SEC Media Days will be must watch this year.  Kiffin and Leach in the same state as well.

From the Athletic, some names WSU might be considering: Alex Grinch; Graham Harrell; Joe Salave'a; Sark (😆) ; Bryan Harsin; Nick Rolovich; Jim McElwain; Troy Calhoun; Jeff Choate; Jay Hill.

I would kick the tires on McElwain and then probably make Grinch my top priority.
