Policies are also set by the ad supplier. If somebody was posting porn here that would be a violation of their policy as well. Obviously porn and swearing aren’t the same thing but yes they do have content restrictions.   But, this site doesn’t really make anything anyway so whatever I’ll take down the filter.  I didn’t realize not being able to say one word would cause such an outrage.

It causes an outrage because they are immature children.  I wouldn't remove the filter, because there are those on here who would like to have the filter.

Ditto.  Since day one, I've been attacked with hate for simply having a different opinion and not being a part of "the group".  The devoted a whole thread to hating me and trying to get me banned.

No one tried to ban you, either, crybaby boomer.

@mugtang Who do I turn to if I'm subjected to any of the things you listed?  Google?

And with the likes of you, @Orange, we haven't been in a room of adults, either.  Maybe this will force you and yours to grow up.

Four posts in a row, with no replies in between, of you whining about having your feelings hurt, and you have the gall to call other people "immature children."

Just wow.

You are not the only one getting picked on for not being part of the "group" and I do not have a problem with you being on this board because we need some outsider perspective.  I still appreciate your input even if I disagree with you.  If you know more people that would bring fresh perspectives to the Pac-12, please feel free to invite them over.

@mugtang: Regarding cuss words on message boards, I would think that with the internet search engines, finding alternative words to use instead of those normal cuss words would be better and given that the Pac-12 is viewed as an academically elite conference of schools, one would think that alumni and fans of those schools would put in the effort to find alternative words.  It simply takes practice and you probably heard of how many times you need to do something the same way before that something becomes a habit.  I'd think that using alternative words instead of same redundant words would be a sign of intelligence.

This is not an attack on anyone who cusses.

Actually, using profanity is a sign of intelligence.

I think this might be, like, the 8th time I've posted this link in response to yet another one of your lazy, exhausting rants against naughty words.

If that’s true, you’d be Albert Einstein instead of a boring tax attorney who helps rich white people pay less on their taxes.

By the way, I’ve never seen Jalapeño be anything but cordial to anyone here, yet you relentlessly attack him even though you feel he’s inferior to you.  That says a lot more about you than it does him, Albert.  It is the definition of bullying.

PapaG -- No one wants to ban you.

But the board really has only two rules:   No politics on the sports side & no personal insults.

You break both & complain most about other people breaking both.

And yet again, you don't hold Orange to the same level of accountability as PapaG.  Gotta call a spade a spade.

I’m not complaining about it.  I admit I do both in reaction to others.  @Orange literally calls me out in his profile caption every time he posts and you back him up all the time because you two follow the same religion.  That’s called hypocrisy.

It means that Orange may break the rules (and should be held accountable) -- but at least he doesn't break the rules & justify it by whining about everyone else breaking the rules.

If you can't understand that, I am sorry, I don't think I can explain it any simpler.
