  1. I agree that federal policy should not be framed around certain people's beliefs...there is history of that happening in the past and one of the big reasons why we broke away from England in the first place. I'm just disappointed that the DNC doesn't appear interested in defending the first amendment rights of everyone and that is what pushed me from being independent like you to being solidly in the GOP's camp.
  2. That is why there are laws governing churches out there plus our country enforces the laws on the books.
  3. Thank you for asking nicely unlike @orange. The LORD has given mankind a choice and that is to obey Him or not. I have given this board a break from my presence for months and that time is coming up soon (after college basketball's regular season) until college football starts warming up around Memorial Day. I will refrain from discussing about the bible for now but anyone who talks negatively or mocks evangelical voters can expect me to respond with scripture.
  4. No need to search. Just go to Kentucky. https://arkencounter.com/
  5. That's your opinion. You might want to watch this video about brimstone being found in Sodom & Gomorrah. Would that be scientific enough for you?
  6. I never saw Trump as a religious man even if he tries being one...he's not fooling me. This whole saga has put religious people in a difficult position because the alternate is to support the DNC who are not as supportive as the GOP when it comes to freedom of religion. I do have a high position at my church and the differences in how the DNC & the GOP deal with churches is becoming more night and day. The GOP treats churches and other religious organizations much better than the DNC has done. When the DNC came out with that criticizing religious liberty, that definitely increased the mistrust between the religious establishments and the DNC. I don't have an issue with the DNC supporting the non-religious afflicted...it's more about the criticism of religious liberty that concerns me. Another reason is that left leaning countries such as China, North Korea, Cuba, etc has severely restricted if not outlawed the bible and the DNC is going much further left than it ever was. You are probably aware of the Chinese crack down on those Ughr people who are also Muslims so it's not limited to Christianity in that case. 52 countries against the bible: https://lovepackages.org/bibles-dangerous-illegal-covert/ This is a difficult situation for anyone with a religious affliction to be in these days. Right now Trump is the face of not only the GOP but the religious afflicted because the GOP clearly supports religious rights while the DNC is going the opposite way. And you say a new breed of awful...I totally agree with that...just wait until a far leftist is the POTUS. It's going to be ugly in this country.
  7. I'll prefer to go to heaven than burn in the lake of fire forever. The only person that saved me not only died but was resurrected and taught his disciples about Himself and the rest is history that has been twisted by many people over the years when those people could have referred to the Bible for answers with careful analysis which many people including myself haven't always done. I ain't perfect and neither is everyone on this board. If you want to show that you are perfect try walking barefoot on water that ain't frozen over.
  8. So is Rat in this case of the bible. Don't worry I will pluck the rest of the cherries in this case.
  9. After I volunteered for my church at a Colorado Rapids game, I bumped into a former classmate and he asked me what I was doing. I told him I was supporting my church and he laughed at me and said he didn't need church. Six months later, he mysteriously died. Since you said fuck the bible, I pray that doesn't happen to you or your family. I'm sincere when I am saying this. Your problem with your interpretation with the bible is that you are probably reading it literally instead of also figuratively. There is a reason why bible scholars use Strong's Hebrew concordance for the Old Testament and Strong's Greek concordance for the New Testament. Greek is more of a philosophical language while Hebrew isn't like that. You need to read from the Hebrew perspective and it doesn't mean it is the same from the English perspective. I had experienced this when I was talking to Deaf Chinese mainlanders on the WeChat app and had to use Google translate before their government stepped in and blocked me although I wasn't discussing politics or the bible with them. When you go back and forth between Mandrian and English, it doesn't always exactly line up with what I wanted to say in English. Same for other languages in the world. The 1611 King James Version is the most direct Hebrew & Greek translation to English but it is not perfect. There is no private interpretation in the bible and that is what you are probably doing in this case. That is why I go to church to hear from the preacher at the pulpit who has spent the time not only studying to the best of their abilities but having more understanding since they are filled with the Holy Ghost. After I was filled with the Holy Ghost (as speaking in tongues), I understood the bible better than I did before that. Ask yourself if 40 scientists at the moment will ever agree on the same thing. Then look at the 40 authors of the bible who helped write it over the course of 1,300 years and it matches up. That should be humanely impossible but that is not impossible to God. Nice try saying I can't respond. Back to Rat: The Hebrew word for defect is mum which means blemish, defect. I look at biblehub.com for information and the link to mum is: https://biblehub.com/hebrew/3971.htm If you scroll down further, you will find "spot" as a definition. A spot is often described as being of sin. A priest that sins (breaking God's law) shouldn't be preaching from the pulpit or leading the church. I'm more than happy to do the rest of Leviticus 21:18-21 later on. As for being blind, aren't you sure you meant spiritually blind instead of being physically blind? That means the other words in that passage probably aren't what you think they mean.
  10. That Iowa woman should have known that Butteig was gay beforehand. Homosexuality is a sin according to Leviticus chapter 19. God didn’t always lead Israel to victory because Israel didn’t obey him in the past. That’s why Westboro Baptist church has people picket the funerals of fallen service members because this country has backslides in allowing homosexuality in American society. I don’t agree with their picketing of those funerals but they are definitely right that God detests such behavior. There’s also Gorrah and Sodom as a reminder of what happens when we let homosexuality become acceptable in our society. We might have the strongest military in the world but God has the power to prevent us from winning a war against invading forces such as the Chinese & Russians. Those civil war talks I had before aren’t empty rumors...our society is becoming divided and tonight’s SOTU was an indicator of that. When the civil war happens, Russia, China, and even Europe will take advantage and conquer their shares of the US. I think electing Butteig POTUS might hasten our demise as a country. That is why people in the south and Midwest would be less likely to vote for him if he is the Dem nominee later this year. Call me crazy but they called Noah crazy when he was building the ark.

  12. https://www.foxnews.com/us/university-of-utah-athlete-arrested-on-suspicion-of-kidnapping-raping-17-year-old-girl Unfortunate to see this news about a PAC-12 player.
  13. We’ll see about that...could lead right back to Trump.
  14. Great news for people who were planning on buying electronics in the coming year such as the upcoming Xbox Series X or Playstation 5 consoles. Ditto for smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.
  15. Once the Dems passed that resolution that criticized religious liberty, that was the end of whatever ounce of support I was willing to give to the Dems. Before that I was more right center...now I'm going further right thanks to that resolution. That has nothing to do with my autism.
  16. Was looking around on Amazon and found this: And it's free...coincidence? I think not.
  17. Yep. I don't think the criticism of the FBI is unwarranted although due to its status as a law enforcement arm of the federal government & general American distrust of the government. Facebook is one heck of a fuel to fan the flames. I just don't bother with my Facebook these days and I enjoy the peace of mind of that. Just another example of a wonderful idea gone astray.
  18. What's the difference between the two anyway?
  19. Only takes a few to make one agency look corrupt. My government agency was once on the front page of the NYT for a scandal and it only took about three people to make 700 agency workers look bad.
  20. LOL...reading that article does remind me of myself. Kudos for her having the courage to be blunt to the world's leaders at the UN. What really ticks me off these days is the amount of trash that is filling up the oceans. The GOP really needs to step up their game with the environment. That's why I was so thrilled with industrial hemp being legalized in the US and it's going to be another year or two before we really start to reap the benefits of that legislation and we really need to invest in that space. The GOP needs to get on board with those electric vehicles because I think this country is dying to support them and the sooner the better. Again we need to really invest into infrastructure and the political in-fighting in DC is holding things back. When the Dems want to pass that, the GOP will oppose that and when the GOP wants to pass that, the Dems will oppose that. Party over country! Party over the environment! That's why we are at where we are today.
  21. Better than grabbing pussy.
  22. Thank you for posting this to prove that Orange isn't reading the articles he posts. He posted stuff related to that on the Jackass thread.
