  1. HLB quoted: Oregon State @ Utah - PAC12 Game of the Week (imo). In the end, the Utes will overcome a valiant effort from the Beavers. (23-20) It will be loud. The standing only tickets are sold out and the secondary market is strong. If we could add 5,000 temporary seats, they would sell them. Noon Mountain is early. All the little league soccer and football parents will show up late. I am surprised Vegas line is 11 points. I thought it would be closer. I believe it will be close through 3 quarters but Utah will pull it out and win by 14. UCLA beats UW. This sets up a huge game in Pasadena the next week. Utah fans will purchase 10k tickets to this game. Oregon over Stanford Arizona beats Colorado in front of 8,000 fans. WSU beats CAL USC spanks ASU.
  2. Teams that are are better than I thought: Washington, OSU and WSU. OSU and WSU both exposed weaknesses with USC and Oregon. We still don’t know how good UCLA and my Utes can be. They play each other in two weeks. I’m looking forward to playing OSU this Saturday. Colorado and ASU are trash.
  3. No. Not for Jazz, Utes, Cougars. We only see these for movies, Universal Studios and local amusement park.
  4. Can you imagine being Orange’s child, husband or wife? They’ve probably all left his miserable world. I would dare say many of us like his posts more than Orange person. He has absolutely no value or worth in his posts. Pac 12 guy posts actually have substance and passion about his team. If the Orange prick was not on this page, there would me a lot more posters. Go yell at your cats Orange freak.
  5. Huge win WSU. Utah took out their frustration on SUU. UW and UCLA doing what they should do. USC looks good Oregon back on track. Colorado continues to embarrass themselves. Cal barely pulls it out.
  6. We brought half to the Rose Bowl. It would have been more but Utah didn’t know they were in the Rose Bowl for 3 days after Ohio State was in. We didn’t think we would win but knew we had a chance. Utah brought 80% of the fans to the last Pac12 championship games and 60% to the two Pac12 championship games. We knew we would beat Oregon last year but had no ideas we would win against Oregon or Washington. We had over 12,000 fans at Florida last week. The fans there were incredibly impressed. The stadium holds 90,900 and was announced as the largest opening day crowd in their history and the 7th largest crowd ever at that stadium. It was also their biggest crowd in 8 years. Utah would have traveled even more if Florida was ranked. To say there is nothing else to do in the Fall in Utah shows that you’re gullible. Are we putting more fans in our stadium than BYU? No. We can only fill what we have. We bring more fans on the road than BYU or any other PAC 12 team for that matter. By the way, we do compete against the Utah Jazz, BYU Cougars, Real Salt Lake Soccer, a Triple AAA baseball team, other smaller Universities, etc. The owner of the Jazz just partnered with a company that is planning to put another professional league in Utah. (NHL or MLB) I brought more conversation to this silly board than most posts. You’re welcome! Look at all the red!
  7. I don’t lose sleep over you not liking me. You’re the reason most people don’t come to this site. You argue for the stupidest things. Nobody likes you either. Wait, didn’t Trump win in 2020?
  8. I’m in Florida today along with thousands of Ute fans that traveled across country to come to this game. We are expecting over 12,000 Utah fans at this game. We use all our allotted seats at road games plus some. There is no other team in this conference that supports their team better for football than Utah. It’s not even close. Even when we are bad, we’ve always used our allotment When we play in bowl games and championship games, we bring 60-80% of the fans. We are one of the few schools that have expanded their stadiums and still sell out every game. If you see the attendance, you will notice that we oversell our games with standing room only tickets. The state of Utah is growing by 100k per year and most are coming into the Salt Lake metro. Most football fans that are moving here have very little in common with BYU so they are adopting Utah as their team. Utah will need to expand our stadium again to keep up with the demand. USC, Oregon, Washington, UCLA have millions in population but their fans are fickle (spoiled) and only show up if it’s convenient and if they are confident their team will win.
  9. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/college-football-rankings-2022-alabama-near-unanimous-no-1-over-ohio-state-in-preseason-cbs-sports-131/amp/ Thoughts on my Utes?
  10. I have paid so little attention to college football as I don’t like where it is going. I am excited for the season that starts in 4 weeks at Florida for the Utah fans. I was surprised that Utah was picked to win the league because it is usually Oregon or USC (sexy picks) . I don’t think we will sneak up on anyone from here on out.
  11. USC and UCLA thought SLC was cold in the winter. Now let’s add humidity and wind off those lakes in November. Will make for a good time.
  12. We never hear about super conferences eliminating schools that bring little to nothing to the table. If the SEC and the Big 10 are truly looking for the best conferences, why have teams like Mississippi, Vanderbilt, Purdue, Northwestern, Rutgers in your league? Thoughts?
  13. I feel confident that Utah will be ok. We are an AAU school and our school is 100% devoted to making our football team a powerhouse. We are currently the best football team in the PAC 12 and our tenure and facilities will keep us up there. We just moved up to the 29th ranked television market with thousands more moving in from out of state each month. Our team fans travel better than the rest of of the league. We sell out every game. We just expanded our stadium and could expand again in a few years. My predictions are: Stanford goes Independent Colorado, Utah, Arizona and ASU will be invited to the Big 12. Washington and Oregon will go to the Big 10. Outside chance at Cal to capture the Bay Area Market. Very outside chance Utah gets an invite if the Notre Dame invite falls through. Washington State, Oregon State may get invited to the Big 12 or will end up in the Mountain West. The Mountain West will ask to change to the Pac12 in name only and a few of our schools will remain I predict the Pac12 (in the current state) will fold. Thank you ABC/ESPN and FOX. Just destroyed football as we know it. Barring major injuries, my Utes will win the Pac12 again this year.
  14. I just purchased my flight to Tampa and hoping there are still tickets available with the Crimson Club group. Otherwise, I’m sitting in the middle of Florida fans. Florida is reloading with a new coach. They will be tough. I expect our team to be ready as Kyle is a great preparation coach. Our offense will be really good and our defense is always good. We picked up a great linebacker from Florida (ironically) that was their best tackler. Humidity is the great equalizer. Very little humidity in SLC. Looking forward to this trip.
  15. I hope your prediction is wrong. It’s been a rumor for a few days. I believe it will be played.
  16. We start our first game playing Florida in Gainesville. SUU, SDSU (there will be payback) and then our NINE game conference schedule.
  17. Utah has picked up two stud Tight Ends in the transfer portal. Our neighbor has a son on the Utah team. His son is a 6’ 7”, 320 pound freshman that is quick but still learning how to play his position. He was an all state basketball player in Arizona two years ago. As he bulked up, he received offers from all over the country. His family recently moved to Utah with his business and to be closer to his son. He mentioned that one of the new transfers coming to Utah is bigger and faster than his son. Bright future for sure in SLC.

    Rose Bowl

Mark Harlan (AD) was on the radio today and said there will be over 60,000 Utah fans attending the Rose Bowl. This is what happened when we went to the Fiesta Bowl. This will be Rice Eccles South. It will be extremely loud and one sided for Utah as it appears Ohio State isn’t as excited to be playing in this game. NC or bust is their mantra. How would it be? Utah is playing everyone and it sounds like some of OSU’s starters won’t be playing to not risk injury. OSU may get their ass whooped. Utah’s big goal in becoming part of this conference was to win the Rose Bowl.
  19. Half expecting Noah Sewell of Oregon to come back home.

    Rose Bowl

I just purchased our tix. There should be a donation slip with these tickets. I bent over big time. $410 each ticket and $47 in fees. I feel hollow. Utah will represent big time. Seeing charter planes and busses are being advertised. 31 yard line and 50 rows back. That puts me about 100 yards away from the action. It’s the worst stadium (for watching games) in the country. Hoping Rose Bowl eventually moves to new stadium.
  21. Listening to Whit, our Utes will be better next year. I’m already planning my trip to Gainsville to beat Florida next year and will n the PAC 12 again.
  22. What could have been? I don’t know if there are 5 teams playing better than Utah right now. With all the death, qb drama, etc., this has to be be of the biggest turnarounds in our program and the most satisfying. I see that we are 6.5 point underdogs. Utah is going to win and it will be my second favorite win. 1. Alabama win. 2. TCU win in 2008 3. Winning the Fiesta 4. All wins against BYU 5. All wins against USC 6. All wins against Oregon
  23. Where could Cristobal go that is the furthest city from Eugene? Done deal. Will Chip bring the old crew back? (all speculation)
