Because the Heat has LeBron James, I'm thinking the country will be rooting for the silver and black in the Spurs. I wonder how much longer Tim Duncan will play if he wins his fifth ring. On an unrelated note, the Nuggets got rid of George Karl. I guess after eight first round exits in nine years, a change was going to happen. This. Should have just said he was done for the season, then if he decides to come back early he is a hero. Really should have been the team coming out with the "we have shut him down, barring a miracle" statement. The way they played it, everyone is questioning his toughness and commitment to the team. I don't blame him for being cautious - we are talking about many tens of millions of dollars (if not more) at stake in future salary being lost if reinjuring ends his career. Game 7 of the Finals at 6 p.m. PT...people are talking about how epic game 6 was. Maybe LeBron will accept the fact that he is going bald and ditch the headband...it did him wonders in game 6. Ray Allen is a fucking cold-blooded dude. Everyone was "Leborn this, Lebron that", yet it's Allen who nailed the tying 3, and also drained 2 clutch free throws like he was in an empty gym. I basically stopped worrying about how I looked the day after my wedding (I was 29 at the time...will be 34 at month's end). If you look at LeBron's wikipedia page, he'll be married this September to his high school sweethart...maybe he will have an easier time ditching the headband after that. Nugs still don't have a coach yet. I was one of those people who actually supported the firing of Karl...too many first round exits in the last decade. Was this also San Antonio's last trip to the NBA Finals for awhile? Most likely but I think we'll see Tim Duncan for a little longer...got those divorce lawyer fees to pay for. The New Orleans franchise will be no longer known as the Hornets...they will be called the Pelicans. Charlotte will probably get the Hornets name back in 2014 if not this upcoming season. I imagine New Orleans should have their new unis as well. I read somewhere that ten more NBA teams will have alternate uniforms that are short sleeve t-shirts like Golden State had this season.
