Utefan1211
There is nothing like a live college football football game. I am reading an article in the Montgomery News about fan increases this year over past years. It mostly has to do with all of us being locked up for the past 18 months and people are excited to get out of the house. The article gives P5 stats and expects these numbers to increase 10% for most teams. SEC 72,735 BIG10 65,408 BIG12 55,992 ACC 48,381 PAC12 47,082 With the Big 12 imploding, it would be great if we could pass up the ACC and Big12 in attendance (if it exists) over the next few years. 2019 average per team and stadium capacity Arizona 39,532 50,782 ASU 49,166 53,999 Cal 42,162 62,467 Colorado 47,182 50,183 Oregon 53,591 54,000 Oregon State 32,424 43,154 Stanford 37,018 50,424 UCLA 43,489 92,542 USC 59,358 77,500 Utah 46,462 46,200 (moving to 51,444 in 2021) Washington 68,238 70,083 Washington State 28,541 32,952 I watched to coaches speak at the PAC 12 media days. Most talked about renewed fan interest and ticket sales increasing. Hope springs eternal. Hoping Covid and our government don’t ruin it for us
clpp01
Have always wondered what UCLA's attendance would be like if they didn't have to travel half way to death valley to get to the Rose Bowl. As for Arizona our attendance is a perfect match for the quality of play they have been putting on the field: crap
Utefan1211
I enjoyed my first experience to the Rose Bowl but it isn’t convenient for UCLA, their fans or anyone else. I thought Pasadena was closer to UCLA.

I attended a UCLA donor meeting last night in Hollywood. It was announced that there have been over 6,800 new season ticket holders come on or come back this year. Also the single game tickets just went on sale and and have been selling quickly. I guess a great home schedule with 7 games against good teams helps. We have Hawaii, Fresno, LSU, Oregon, Stanford, ASU and Colorado coming here and all (except LSU) have huge fan bases in the area. LSU fans will be here in groves. We are expecting many games over 70,000 in attendance this year. Our donors are already planning the move into the new stadium. It’s only 11 miles away with easy parking compared to 26 miles to the Rose Shitbowl with horrific parking. Our top donor threatened (last year) to pull his millions if we stay in the Shitbowl past 2023. If and when that happens, our attendance will increase greatly. I didn’t realize our attendance had dipped as low as the stats showed. We need to get our crap together and start winning.
MrBug708
UCLA is locked into a lease with the Rose Bowl until 2042.

Our team was bad. I didn’t attend many games in 2019 because they sucked and I live and work mostly in Texas. I still own a plant in Carson and we just purchased a condo in Gardena and we plan on attending all 7 games this year. Covid wasn’t the problem for us, it was our government’s reaction. I’m hopeful we can play all our games this year in the PAC12 and with full crowds. I guarantee most of the other conferences will work with their local governments better than California, Washington, Oregon will work with the PAC. Losing a couple million from donors is likely much cheaper than breaking the lease, especially since UCLA is pretty much keeping the Rose Bowl alive. What, you think the government should do nothing? Are you at least vaccinated? Or are you EVERY strain of nutball?
