MrBug708 Posted December 19, 2021 Share Posted December 19, 2021 UCLA TE/ST coordinator, Derek Sage, is being targeted for OC at Nevada. The new HC and Sage worked together at WSU. UCLA OC/OL coach, Justin Frye, is a target for an OL coach spot at Notre Dame. It's back home in Indiana and Notre Dame, a pretty good gig. But it's a "demotion", title wise for a guy who was targeted for some HC rumors this year. But he could probably live minutes from campus. But it's Indiana. My Grandfather grew up in Indiana and spent a semester at Purdue before jumping on a train and getting the hell out of there to California. But he hated snow. Just because he was the best defensive coach at Oregon, doesn't mean he was (is) a great coach. All of the other coaches may have sucked. Would be the 4th coach to leave UCLA, probably the first one who is a legit coach. Chip's contract extension is about to come to a headway. Buyout is $0 on the 15th.
