From day one I have been harassed and called names, when I did nothing. The only thing I've done since is throw it back to those who are the biggest name callers, who don't like to accept realistic commentary. You just don't like hearing the truth. You're serving, I'm just returning volley. And here's an example of reality you refuse to hear and/or accept .... Kind of like when you said Oregon had “no chance” at beating Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl a few years ago, right? You don’t get credit for having a default setting. Lets say Oregon gets into the CFP as the 4, and plays Georgia. You’ll take Georgia to win, and I wouldn’t argue with you. But you’ve also absurdly picked Oregon to lose to Colorado and USC this year. So does it mean anything when you pick against us, other than you never never watch the Pac-12 play or, if you do watch, are incapable of processing what you’re seeing?

I could rebrand this as another board. I’ve registered collegesportsboard.com, ncaaboard.com and am considering a couple others. I could create subforums for each conference. Could turn it into a P4 board as well. The other option is waiting for the P2 to decide what they’re going to do and rebranding this site, effectively killing the mwcboard. One option does not preclude the other. If I create an all encompassing board I will probably drop minimal ads onto the website to pay the costs as it could be lucrative, depending on the traffic.

Realignment causes a lot of homeless posters. Not too thrilled about the idea of finding a B12 board.

So does it mean anything when you pick against us, other than you never never watch the Pac-12 play or, if you do watch, are incapable of processing what you’re seeing? So let me see .... you reference two times, in three years, that I've been wrong on picks against Oregon, and suddenly I don't know anything about the PAC? And I supposed to be correct 100% of the time? Name for me "one" individual who picks correctly 100% of the time. Even oddsmakers are wrong, on many games, every week. It amazes me at how personal you guys take my picks. At the time of the Colorado predictions, Colorado was playing well, while USC wasn't, and Oregon had struggled to get by Texas Tech, two weeks before (almost lost). So, at the time, they weren't the ridiculous pick you make them out to be. I watch the PAC12, and I am very capable of what I and seeing. And what I see are PAC teams that are not facing strong defenses. I'm an Auburn guy, and I watched Bo Nix in high school (at Pinson Valley) and at Auburn. He struggled, in SEC play. You never knew if you were going to get "good Bo", or "bad Bo". Rest assured; he didn't perform as well in the SEC as he has performed in the PAC. Why? Because the SEC defenses were bigger, stronger and faster than what he's faced the last two seasons. He had to face BAMA, LSU and Georgia, every year - and that doesn't include other programs that were tough to play. I predict Oregon to beat UW in the PAC12 Championship, "soundly". Oregon is better now that when the two teams played before. And if what I think happens, happens and Oregon goes to the playoffs, I think they will face Georgia and lose badly, just as they did at the start of the season in 2022. It will show enough disparity that makes me wonder if you are watching other conferences and are capable of processing what you are seeing. Can you provide that for me? I went back to look because I didn't recall saying anything about that game. You guys have such disdain for me that you actually make up things I have allegedly said, all the time. But congratulations on the "meaningless" Rose Bowl win over a 3-loss Wisconsin team, who finished 4th overall in the B1G. And ironically, that 2019 season was when Oregon lost to Auburn, in the season opener, where Auburn was led by true freshman QB, Bo Nix. glduck
I didn’t say anything about providing a comprehensive list of all your bad picks. I just used two recent examples to show how easily you’re influenced by outside media coverage of Pac-12 teams, which is what happens when you don’t actually watch any games. Similar to how you assume SC will run undefeated through the conference each year… at least until you get caught up in the Colorado media frenzy and switch your pick and suggest Colorado is going 12-0. I don’t take what you say personally. I don’t call you names and I ignore the bulk of what you post because based on the way you type I think you may have a cognitive disability, and I don’t think that’s something to be made fun of. I do think you should slow down when you’re reading, though. Case in point: On 11/24/2023 at 1:47 AM, HLB said: And if what I think happens, happens and Oregon goes to the playoffs, I think they will face Georgia and lose badly, just as they did at the start of the season in 2022. In the post this is in response to, I *agreed* with you that Georgia should be heavily favored against Oregon in a hypothetical CFP match. In what world does your reply above make a lick of sense? Slow down, take a breath, and if you need something clarified just ask.
Orange
He doesn’t have a disability, he just has a personality disorder. These aren’t people to pity, they’re to be ridiculed. Just like all the Jan 6 idiots, the fuckwits who think Trump is smart and/or successful and/or savvy, the people who think Biden is in a “crime family”, etc. They’re people who’ve faced no real adversity in life and have never been held to account for being wrong (constantly). I’m seeing a lot of this with my criminal defendant clients. No amount of medication, therapy, or even empathy seems to change their behavior. I reserve empathy for those who deserve it. @HLB deserves none. He’s just willfully brash and singleminded, which is why he’s wrong so very often. Maybe because they (and Nix and Penix for that matter) have not only found the right systems for their skills, but they have been in college for quite some time and their experience would make them formidable in any conference? These kind of things just go under HLB’s rug. No answers. Just waits until the next post to remind everyone how terrible the P12 is.
EastCoastFan
We're coming near the end of the line for Pac-12 football. With a great finish. But also, with not one school better off with realignment than before. None of this is going to work. USC vs Rutgers, Cal vs Boston College, Utah vs. Central Florida, Arizona vs. Cincinnati, and WSU and OSU vs. whomever they can pick up by begging. A great conference will play out its final year, and it will not be something that will be reassembled. The power of the B1G will always emanate from Indianapolis. The ACC from the Research Triangle. The Big-12 from KC and Dallas. Every Pac-12 team will be an outsider. Paydays or not, every one will lose.

No school would. 10 guys could have saved the conference and got a decent paycheck while doing it.

At one point the B1G and PAC were truly peers. It is sad that in about 10 years or so, very few people will have working memory of this. Things got fucked up many times along the way for the B1G to be in a position to offer the LA schools a new future. Many Duck fans would happily tell you that it started under a Husky and exacerbated under Larry Scott and completely imploded with Kliavkoff. After that point, the 10 guys(and gals) were never going to save the conference. There was no media partner that would have made it viable in the long run.
