I never saw CU fans threatening death en masse to an opposing player for a dirty hit (unless you're alleging this is the first dirty hit in CU history).

Again, I don’t condone any of this.  But to pretend this is all the prime effect is ridiculous.  We are a broken people.  Heck, a patriot fan was beaten to death.  There are bigger issues at play.

As soon as CU racks up a few losses, this huge hot air balloon will pop like a fart in the wind.

I get why some CU fans like the hype Prime brings because it’s equaled some wins.  But are all these new bandwagon fans around for CU or Prime?  We all know the answer. So is Boulder a bad ass college town with good people or a rap concert now? I think CU leaders should think about this.

It’s early to know if there will be more issues like this but I’m with Orange on this one. Where there is smoke, there’s usually fire.

The hype will slow down for a lot of reasons, some losses, big games across the country, etc.  there is still a level of exposure that isn’t going away altogether.

And I don’t follow the rap concert part.  Do I know who offset is, absolutely not.  But it’s different, kids enjoy it so be it.  Boulder will stay mostly the same, but I’m not sure I see the threat you see.

Pretend?  What is the common denominator with all the hype and bandwagon fans and now public death threats? There are positives and negatives to the culture Prime has brought to CU.

Take off your black and gold goggles on this one.  As I mentioned, it’s early but let’s let this play out in terms of “The Prime Effect”. I don’t think we are done seeing more issues this year.

Is Prime preaching violence from fans? Absolutely not. But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t brought some shady character fans into CU’s world.

There are absolutely shady folks in the fan base, not many, but a few.  Are they new?  Probably.  Heck, all of a sudden there are a lot of prime fans on board.  That said, I would just suggest this is a symptom not of prime, rather a broken culture.  We are often pretty awful.

and long term I am optimistic, but time will tell.  Prime, maybe due to his over exposure, is really polarizing.  People seem to love or hate.  I’ve tried to be fair, and am somewhere in the middle.

Sure. There’s some kids that enjoy the rap concert vibe.  But I think most of college football fans want to watch football.  Look at the overall demographics of football fans.

ESPN spent about 15 minutes of their coverage on which rappers and big ballers were in town for Prime. Really? Including interviewing these people.  College Gameday was even worse. Of course networks eat this shit up because it boots ratings.  But that only lasts while CU wins. Because Prime is different.

Everytime Prime walks out of the tunnel with his 15 man entourage, it reminds me of a UFC fight. All he needs is walk out music and he’s set.

BTW, what was with his son getting in the face of CSU’s coach at the end of the game mid field meeting? Since when do players do that?

All of this is network gold.  Do I give a shit if the rock is there?  Nah.  Don’t know the performers and don’t care.  But I’m not the target.  It’s kids and people that aren’t fans.  I’m with you, get me to the game.

All in all, I suspect a lot of this slows down some.  But if you can have hall of fame receivers at practice working some with the kids, great.  Of all of the issues in cfb, I just don’t see this as a big one.

This upcoming CU-UO game isn't the same as the 2016 game.  CU was coming off a loss at Michigan where the Buffs were leading 21-7 before Sefo Liufau went down with an injury and ******n Montez wasn't able to rally the Buffs to a victory in Ann Arbor.  The Ducks certainly didn't have much tape on Montez at the time and CU was able to give Montez first team reps that week while tailoring the offense to his strengths.  Then the Buffs did the unthinkable and pulled off the win in Eugene.  Back then I believed that was doable and right now I'm trying to figure out how CU will do without Travis Hunter.  Given Hunter's dual duty of starting on offense and defense, the Buffs are down two starters even if it's just one player.

As for how CU would play against Oregon, I am not sure but at the same time CU has a road win at TCU so it's possible.  There has been some expected contributors that hasn't stepped on the field due to injuries sustained during camp but one of them is a former Houston RB and from what I have read, he is almost ready to go.  Other reinforcements in other areas might be about ready to go for the Buffs.

You’re a good CU fan.  And like I said, it’s network gold right now. Let’s see how things look after the next 2 games.

I think ESPN stands for Entertainment SPorts Network or something...or was that Eastern Sports Programming Network?  I just don't recall.

Fox Big Noon was in Boulder this weekend after being there for the Nebraska game and they already announced they are back in Boulder for the USC game.  That's three weekends out of four in that case...Fox must love Coach Prime.  PAC fans including myself are wishing Coach Prime was here a year earlier because that might have ultimately gotten the PAC a better media rights deal but at the same time, we have that commissioner who can't get anything done.

I didn't like Shedeur Sanders getting into the face of Norvell after the game but he might be as polarizing as his father...maybe that is something genetic but there's always learned behavior.  He has that questionable eye poke of a CSU player too and he was flagged against Nebraska for doing his father's dances after a TD with the game that was starting to get out of reach for the corndogs.

I actually root for the rams most of the year.  Be nice to see them turn it around.

The Rams are dead to me after what happened and also what Norvell said yesterday.

CSU can go to hell.

Norvell did what I expected.  He defended his guy, most coaches would.  One play was really bad.  The rest of their stupid plays helped cu win.
