Tidbit:

About UCLA: The Bruins have won three consecutive games, but talk about a paper-thin stretch of the schedule. UCLA's wins have come over Cal, Colorado and Oregon State. The Bears have lost four straight, Oregon State six straight and Colorado has lost five of six, the lone win coming over Oregon State.

The last time UCLA played a quality opponent was four weeks ago against Stanford. The Cardinal smoked the Bruins 56-35.

ESPN's experts pick UCLA 3-2. Only one predicts as much as a seven point game. I'm hopeful, not confident.

Ucla now favored by 10.5. WSU's losses have been by 2, 6 and 7.

WSU is 7-2 against the spread and 5-0 as the underdog. Ucla is 4-5 against the spread and 4-3 as the favorite.

Ucla has put up stellar pass defense numbers, but Goff, Hogan, Bercovici and Liufau passed for near or in excess of their season averages and Ucla has only faced 2 of the leagues top 6 quarterbacks. QBs tend to do what they usually do against UCLA.

Perkins rushed for 9.8 yards per carry vs. Colorado, the rush defense most closely approximating that of WSU, but only tallied 118 yards on 12 carries.

Two of WSU's three losses were largely attributable to running QBs. Alex Keresa and Hogan led their teams in rushing against WSU. Rosen is negative for rushing yards.
