  1. Why is it an either/ or situation, is it possible that USC did wrong and the NCAA is corrupt?

What did USC do wrong? Keep in mind, The Pac-12 took a hit too. What did the Pac-12 do wrong? The penalties were overly harsh. Don't you think?

What about the athletes over the last few years who had nothing to do with it? Why did they carry the biggest burden?

And what are you going to say when the corrupt NCAA pulls the exact same crap against UCLA?

  2. He was ineligible. It's not the NCAA who gives the trophy

The NCAA is the enemy! When are Pac-12 people going to get it!?! There is no question anymore that the NCAA is a corrupt and evil organization. They were unfair to USC, and they have always been unfair and oppressive to football and basketball players.

We should all be supporting USC and calling for the death of the NCAA.

  3. An exclusive look inside USC's recruiting lounge in the Coliseum

Why isn't Reggie Bush listed among the Heisman winners? Is Pat Haden still trying to appease those NCAA scum?

What a farce! Give USC back its trophy already! Sheesh

  4. Serious questions, Do you really think Colorado will be a consistant contender in the South? In terms of recruiting, since Colorado does not produce a lot of PAC 12 caliber talent, what is the recruiting strategy for Colorado to sustain a competitive football program?

As a member of the Pac-12 South Division, Colorado has the benefit of visiting talent rich Southern California every year. That is a huge advantage over schools in the Pac-12 North. Colorado's recruiting strategy will be to focus hard on landing elite talent from Southern California.

Top Ten Reasons to attend Colorado:

    10. You will come home every year to play in front of friends and family

    9. You will attend an elite AAU research university

    8. You will play and train in some of the best and newest athletic facilities in the nation

    7. When your family visits you in Boulder, they will enjoy a unique and charming college town experience

    6. Jalapeno designs the cool unis

    5. Colorado coeds are hot and horny

    4. Your family can tune in to the Pac-12 Channel to look for you on "The Drive"

    3. If you are a lineman, you won't die of heat stroke while training in the hot sun (I wish we could say this at ASU)

    2. It doesn't rain all the damn time (not meant in a derogatory way towards the schools in the Pac-12 North)

    1. And the number one reason to attend Colorado: RALPHIE !!!

  5. I've been to sun devil stadium, I'd put it far behind Autzen, Husky and the bean dip, in terms of how load the crowd is. Last time I was there, it was dead quit for about all but the first 2 minutes of the game.

Autzen only seats 54K. I don't even consider that Pac-12 worthy.

  6. Why is the UCLA student section so small in September? I would get it for the Arizona schools, when it is still hot, but September should be nice in LA.

They don't even have their own stadium.    The students arrive for the game in little yellow buses. LOL

    How embarrassing!!!

  7. I went to many AZ Cardinals games back in the day.. Not a very fan friendly stadium..

If you are a fan who appreciates great sight lines and being on top of the action, Sun Devil Stadium is hard to beat.

We also have the loudest student section in the West.

Get back to me when we finish the $256 million in upgrades for 2017: new luxury suites, new concessions, new restrooms, new video system, new sound system, new football-only training facility built into the stadium north end zone, replacement of bench seating with new improved seats and improved leg room.

  8. NCAA wouldn't want to play that many games.

NCAA and most everybody else would go to 13 games for the additional revenue. The only ones firmly against it would be the university presidents. They have the final word.

  9. With the exception of the Big-12, all P5 conferences have the same problem: not enough conference games. Nine conference games are not enough. Eight is just flat out ridiculous.

The P5 could help the situation by going to a 13 game schedule with each conference playing 10 conference games and 3 OOC.

  10. and that's not going to happen, because as you've been told before, oregon and washington don't need to play in la every year to recruit.

We in the South are very happy to hear that!   :D

  11.

Surely those Northwest schools saw what happened with the competitive gap between the old Big 12 North and Big 12 South and hopefully are being proactive in this case to prevent the same thing from happening again.

It's up to the Northwest schools to be proactive in demanding a 10 game conference schedule. It's not going to matter to fans in the South division. We're happy to have greater recruiting access to the LA region.

  12. That's why the media is calling it a facilities arms race.

Every school in the P5 is searching for new sources of revenue to keep up. For example, Sun Devil football fans can look forward to a 60% increase this year in ticket prices.

  13. So Sparky, you think new facilities, equals wins? So what happens when everyone has new facilities?

We are already seeing improved results on the field for the Pac-12. Most people have agreed that the Pac-12 is the top 1 or 2 best conferences in the Power 5. Most also agree that the Pac-12 is attracting better coaches than it ever has in its history.

The future looks bright as the Pac-12 continues to compete well in the facilities arms race. What happens when everyone has new facilities? I think UCLA will not get over the hump until it builds an on-campus stadium. Also, the Oregon and Washington schools are at a distinct disadvantage with fewer trips to the talent rich LA area. They should be pushing for a 10 game conference schedule.

  14. Yes and that was my point.  He was recruiting better than Dykes ever did with the worst facilities in the conference and got far better results as well.

Tedford was fired for poor recruiting and for Cal's poor results on the field.

The jury is still out on Dykes. He's only been at Cal for two years.

  15. Cal just recently completed their new facilities upgrades. They have been down for a very long time. I look for Cal to also compete very soon. Give it a couple of years.

As far as the coaching aspect, everyone has good coaches. It's recruiting and talent on the field that matters most. Coaching is vastly overrated in every sport.
