Lost money, lost home games and lost bowl games. Pretty much everything they play a season for. Moreover, it would blow up the conference. You would be telling USC that they could only play ND OOC, so half the time no OOC home game.
The Pac didn't want to take USC's and Ucla's LA TV market money and then rub their noses in it by taking away what would most likely be home OOC games as well. I wouldn't look for an increase in conference games.
