  1. Partnering with the academic elite didn't help Colorado. They have dropped in terms of academic rankings since joining the PAC.
  2. The B12 has a clause from ESPN for a pro-rata increase for any P5, the question was whether FOX would. If Brett McMurphy is correct in his reporting yesterday the B12 has that with FOX as well. Az, ASU, & Utah should have their heads examine if they don't move. Approximately $32M for a B12 deal vs reportedly 20M for a PAC deal with heavy streaming and bad exposure. yes, I know ASU(possibly way down the line) & Utah (which I highly doubt) hope for a B1G invite some day but neither would come soon and staying in the PAC will damage their brands for the future with the poor visibility. Those schools also know the PAC isn't for long, maybe another 6 year deal and then the schools are picking up the pieces. Az bball would have a LOT more national exposure in the B12. I don't think UW & OR leave but it really doesn't help their brands by staying for a B1G invite staying in a diminished PAC. We also don't know the effects of losing exposure in the southern California market and the increased presence of the B1G to those programs recruiting. Its harder to make a playoff but if UW & OR went to the B12 they have chances at better exposure and better games the next 6 years to be attractive to the B1G. Maybe the B1G is willing to take them now if the 4C schools are pushed and they don't look like the bad guy. I think one or both eventually get to the B1G but they are not the target the southeastern schools are in the ACC due to the need to improve recruiting grounds. I feel bad for OSU & WSU. Its rumored ESPN told the PAC to merge with the B12 and the league hierarchy said no. USC was against it before leaving and Stanford and Cal don't want to associate with the B12 and OSU & WSU may now get to receive the brunt of the effects of it.
  3. I have read multiple places where USC doesn't want Oregon because it cuts out their competition in California recruiting.
