I do, it goes back to my mom's Southern roots, something I celebrate. My grandfather was a big Bama fan, being from Alabama. Funny. SDSU and Bama rate the same in the USN&R ratings. My brother graduated from UCSB with degrees in English and Literature so I like pissing him off using terms like "y'all" & "irregardless." Oh, I graduated with a science degree and own a company that modifies aircraft if you think I'm sort of brainless yokel. It sounds like, if the BIG does take another PAC school it would be Stanford if Notre Dame joins. So, the PAC-9? You good with that?

Well, SDSU is 7-2 against PAC12 teams in football in recent years and our BB program is at least as good. From what I've read, Stanford is the preferred partner with Notre Dame for expansion to the BIG. Y'all might want to think of doing something to stop your hemorrhaging in California.

Well, SDSU would make sense but you will never add them. If you don't, however, the B12 might.

If the PAC doesn't hemorrhage any more schools, and it appears that the BIG is not interested in OU and WU, then staying put makes sense for the rest of the programs. The conference should add two replacement schools but they are unlikely to get any from the BIG12, so then they have to look at a couple of G5 programs from other conferences. Something they are not likely to relish even thinking about. It is going to be a difficult transition when those left in the PAC have to realize they don't get to sit at the big table anymore.

We will see. Your comment about parking your non-revenue sports in western conferences I don't see happening. No conference is gong to want a member that can spend twenty times more that any other member on salaries and scholarships.

The big question is if they can win. Going to be much more difficult in the BIG than the PAC.

New here, but I don't see UCLA doing well in the BIG. They can't half fill the Rose Bowl now, and they will be perennial bottom feeders in football in the BIG. Good luck getting fans to support a loser in California, especially LA where you have two NFL and two NBA teams as well as NHL and MLB both with two clubs nearby. All the travel is going to be hard on their BB program as well. Feel bad for Cronin.
