Guest Bone Crusher
Cal Tech Beavers snap 26 year losing streak Kind of ironic since I recall the Pac-10 version of the Beavers had a long football drought before they started winning again. Isn't it due to the cuddly nature of the Beavers?
Guest nakedmolerat
Cal Tech Beavers snap 26 year losing streak Kind of ironic since I recall the Pac-10 version of the Beavers had a long football drought before they started winning again. Isn't it due to the cuddly nature of the Beavers? I saw that story this morning, noticed the mascot was the Beavers, and knew there would be something posted here about it. I was going to do it, but I don't make it a habit to spit in my own cereal... The Beavers (OSU) had a 28 year streak of losing seasons. It was from 1971-1999. Incidentally, I was on the sideline (as a redshirt freshman) when we beat Cal to secure a non losing season and the following weak secured a winning season by beating Arizona. After the Cal game, the stadium was intense. There was grown men who had suffered through the 28 years of futility that were in full tears. It was incredible to be a part of. I have read reports of the celebration the Beavers (CalTech) had after their first win in conference in 26 years, and it doesn't sound like people there much give a shit.
