We discussed it earlier. Utah’s cupboard is bare next year unless we make a splash in the portal. CU’s Lampkin is now in the portal, I’d take him if he would come. He seems to have issues sticking at one place. But even if we get him for 1 year, we’d be better. I also mentioned we’ve pretty much got our ass kicked in the P12 the last 6-7 years so going to a much better basketball conference next year doesn’t leave Utah fans a lot of hope. I think all the 4 corners except AZ will get smashed next year in the B12. I think AZ will be much like Houston was going to the B12. A seamless transition.

Jan 11th we dump UCLA by almost 50 in SLC, the next game we lose to 13-17 Stanford on the road. I think our Huntsman Center party and season is over. We’ll see though.

One thing that will be interesting about the ACC is their TV contract. Both Stanford and Cal took a penny on the dollar $7 million per year TV paycheck for the remainder of the current contract. To my knowledge, most of these contracts have a renegotiation option if schools leave. Ours had a window when the LA schools left. If the big dogs of the ACC find a way out of the conference, I wonder if they open up the books a bit more for Cal and Stanford? Logic says when the prime assets leave, the value of a renegotiated deal is less but maybe more than $7 mill per year? SMU foolishly took no TV money until a new deal is on the table.

I honestly think he needs to go back and take a basic US History class. This tells me he likely doesn’t even have a GED. If he took this class, he might know why many western states don’t have a lot of black people understanding the migration patterns in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. He’d also know that many of these folks migrated north to the rust belt and north east coast looking for economic opportunity and not the undeveloped west. Looks like OSU and WSU are close to signing with CW for a football TV deal. Take it with a grain of salt because it's from Canzano. Interesting part of this is both schools would have to produce their own games. The P12 has said the P12 network goes dark after Spring football games this year. But if both schools own those assets, I'm guessing they can do what they want. I think last year’s Lady Ute team was better. We did lose to the eventual national champs LSU. My gameplan for the second half. Give it to Pili 4000 times in the post. Or give her a screen on the 3 point line. I don’t think the ZAGS keep up their % from 3. But I don’t have a good feeling about a win here. I don’t like the home court for the higher seeds either like the NIT. It’s expensive to travel around the country for women’s sports but I think they could make something else work.

You have always been more optimistic and positive than me. Which is why I like you. I just can’t get over the road performance this year. There’s not even progress on the road. Not even a little. I can’t point to anything they’ve improved on. I can handle growing pains but you still need progress. We have too much talent to get blown out on the road by ASU, Stanford and Oregon State.
