Money, facilities, packed stadium, big boosters. Loyal fans, access to the playoffs and moderate media market. Kyle is at the end of his career. He’s not going to go take on a toxic job in shithole College Station. He also has a golden parachute at Utah with a healthy salary as an athletic department advisor for as long as he wants. When he’s done look for a statue or the field named after him. Jedd Fisch was also mentioned.

Personally I think UW/OR are worth more than 30 million. They put in the work. Same with USC.UCLA not so much. Good basketball program but football drives the bus. My point is based on how it went down after the smoke cleared. Nobody other than the LA schools got what they wanted. But going back to eastcoastfan’s point. All these new relationships that have very little in common are bad for college athletics. UW/OR will be sitting pretty on the next B10 TV contract along with all in conference revenue. Larry Scott fucked a lot of things up. George was just a message boy for Presidents for a short career.

Considering the 4 corners and UW/OR are all going to be making about $30 million in media dollars for the next 5-6 years, ESPN’s offer of $30 million at the end of 2022 seems better than what we have now. I won’t argue there’s some deeper political agendas within the breakup but the money was there. The P12 was never going to be in an equal position with the B10. Just look at attendance and tv ratings.

There’s 10 Presidents that fucked this up, not some puppet in SF or Vegas. UCLA and USC weren’t going to turn down $70 million per or whatever it is. No school would. 10 guys could have saved the conference and got a decent paycheck while doing it.

Pretty pathetic isn’t it? There were so many fans cheering for the P12 to fail. They got their wish. And watch how things go from here.

The title game should be epic. I hope Vegas is sold out for this one. Probably the 2 best teams in the conference I’ve seen in awhile. Hats off to AZ for their run this year. I’ll take the Ducks by 7. Can’t wait. We need some movement in the top 4 because the winner here deserves the playoffs.
