sometimes when i’m depressed i think about how colin cowherd has been on the radio 10+ years and has amassed millions of dollars by repeating the same three things over and over again and i then i get even more depressed.

i felt arizona should be in that group, too. they took a series from oregon state and swept ucla. but it’s also not a hill i choose to die on... they could have taken the committee out of the equation but they lost a series to Utah and got swept by cal when they knew they had to probably play themselves in.

love that sweet, sweet utah-colorado rivalry nearly as much as the mariner-padre rivalry. you can taste the HATE.

my favorites are the ones fans get ahead of an event, then they lose. this phenomena seems to mostly afflict Kentucky basketball fans.

i have absolutely no fear of heights. i think i could totally do that. that said, i am violently afraid of confined spaces/being trapped somewhere. some friends want to do this panic room thing that opened up here in town (are these everywhere? apparently you are locked in a room and have to solve clues or some shit to get out?) and i'm having severe anxiety over it. being trapped in a confined area is NOT my jam (see also: heavily medicated glduck on any plane excursion no matter how short).

reminds me of the year dirk won MVP and the mavs got bounced in the first round as a 1 seed. we acknowledge the award was bestowed but we never talk about it.

i've always been torn on this. yes, oregon deserved to play in the title game. but that miami team may have been the greatest of all time, and as much as i love me some joey harrington, i do not... think... we'd win that game. and that's not even me being a douchey debbie downer, i think that's just logic and whatnot. so while we got shafted, we can live throughout eternity complaining about our royal screwjob and the great what-if, thanks to us successfully kicking the tar out of that colorado team.

i tweeted at mops telling him i've missed his updates during basketball games, noting there's nowhere else on twitter that i can find a guy willing to tell his thousands of followers that a game is 76-66 going into overtime (if you follow mops on twitter you know that he's never once tweeted out an accurate score). he tweeted back to shut the "f" up ("f") with a smiley face. glad he and his family are doing better.

texas tech, the #7 team in the county, is going to narrowly defeat oklahoma, the #23 team, at home. the tech crowd is chanting “overrated” at a team they squeaked by, and is ranked lower than they are. thats not how that chant is supposed to work, is it?
