  1. @Mano, I've watched this kid all season. Absolute baller and has all the skills in the book. Good attitude. 4 star. Out best recruit of the 2024 class. Dominated a good Utah HS scene. The only thing I don't like is he's only 6' tall. Hopefully he grows another inch or two. That might not matter but I think ideally for college, we want to see at least 6'2" or 6'3". "In May, before his senior season, Wilson committed to Utah, choosing the Utes over offers from Oregon, Miami, UCLA, Oklahoma State and BYU, among others." "In the months following Wilson’s decision, two Corner Canyon teammates — offensive lineman Isaiah Garcia, who blocked for the Chargers quarterback, and edge rusher Kash Dillon — also announced their pledges to Utah. Garcia is ranked as the No. 1 recruit in the state of Utah by 247Sports and ESPN, while Wilson is tabbed as the No. 1 player in Utah by Rivals and On3. Dillon is rated as the No. 6 recruit from Utah, per 247Sports, and with the commitment of American Fork safety Davis Andrews (No. 4 recruit in the state per 247Sports), the Utes locked up four of the top six players in Utah." https://www.deseret.com/2023/12/13/23991596/isaac-wilson-utah-utes-quarterback-corner-canyon-deseret-news-mr-football
  2. A little off topic. Utah is continuing to step up in NIL with more than football. The Crimson Collective has been on fire lately. Nice to see the ladies get some love too. https://kslsports.com/508661/utah-mens-womens-basketball-gymnastics-receive-2024-vehicle-through-nil-collective/
  3. Agree 100%. I've been high on Rose all year. He's been running the scout team most of the year. Rose is game rusty and inexperienced but let's see what the kid can do. This season is shot other than getting 9 wins but we really have nothing to lose by starting Rose. But Kyle has his process. He absolutely hates playing people that "aren't ready".
  4. @Mano and @Chile_Ute, I think there is a good chance we see some Brandon Rose in the bowl game. Based on Kyle's comments the other day. He wants to see some of the young guys. Barnes will definitely start but I'd love to see Rose get some PT. He's shaken off the injury rust and fully incorporated into the bowl gameplan. He tore up spring ball and was the clear #2 going into Fall Camp.
  5. 2 big P12 games Saturday. UCLA/Ohio State and AZ/Purdue. Both neutral sites. @MrBug708 and @clpp01, any thoughts?
  6. A few months ago, I asked you guys about any up and coming QBs in the Oregon barn to replace Nix. You all told me the portal. lol. CFB is moving away from high school recruiting and development opting for the portal. This is now the normal in CFB. I’d love for the PAC North schools to go shake the B10 tree at the top and give Michigan and Ohio State a run for their money.
  7. Hmmm. He threw for 3700 yards, 30 TDs and 6 INTs this year. Sounds like he’s pretty useful to me. Reading up, his OC Lebby taking the HC job at Miss State was the reason he left. I’m not sure OU encouraged a QB with those numbers to go kick road apples down the street.
  8. Gabriel from OU to Oregon? Probably a nice snag. Not sure I completely understand the move. OU holds their own on the power broker scene still and has plenty of offense even with a defensive HC. Maybe @HLB can explain why a future SEC QB would want to move to a little powerless school like Oregon that has no shot to win a NC and won’t even send a QB to NY this year for the Heisman?

@glduck, bad news about Herbert out for the rest of the year.
  10. What the hell is going on with USC? Lot of talent on this team to be 5-4.
  11. AP Poll this week. Utah getting some votes. The Utes have been so far out of the national radar scene it's going to take a minute for voters to realize we still play basketball. CU is close to the T25 once again. The fact that the Utah/BYU game was on the P12 network sure didn't help. This was definitely worth ESPN or FS1. https://apnews.com/hub/ap-top-25-college-basketball-poll
  12. At least UCLA has played somebody this year. WSU may be a good team but it’s hard to tell with all the cupcakes they’ve baked this year. Tonight they go up against the 2-6 powerhouse Grambling State Tigers.
  13. Utah with a great win over an overrated BYU team. BYU was ranked 14th and #1 in Net rankings all week. BYU is still # 3 in Net rankings and Utah moved up to 32. Utah playing solid with Keita back after being injured for the Houston and St. John’s games. Should be smooth sailing to finish out OOC with two cupcakes remaining. We start off conference play with a very good(so far) WSU squad. At least it’s in SLC.
  14. Here’s some meat and potatoes on how the geography of the voters is broken out. https://www.heisman.com/about-the-heisman/balloting-info/

And how does this list look after Brady? I hope you own a microscope.

We got very lucky with Purdy. Not often you see a last pick in the draft have success on a superbowl quality team. We just need to keep him healthy. Philly finally saw what we look like with a healthy QB. I think both Philly and Dallas have been sent a clear message on who the NFC boss is.
  17. Would you put him above Nix? Penix has one of the best deep balls I’ve ever seen. Amazing touch on those balls too. But I think Nix is the most complete QB and offensive player in the conference but it’s hair tight. Penix is that good.
  18. Yes. Our President came clean about it. Dumb move. Terrible. But everyone else who bought into this BS isn’t off the hook. Lots of blame to go around. Multiple Presidents were pushing the idea of “ going to market” after they turned down $30 mill. https://www.johncanzano.com/p/canzano-truth-behind-the-pac-12s
  19. I don’t know if this lost the power brokers $150 million but I know it was the lowest rated championship game since the BCS era began. I’ve heard a lot of talking heads today say they wanted to avoid another “ TCU situation” from last year. With FSU being a broken down team. https://www.wuga.org/local-news/2023-01-11/uga-tcu-match-viewership-was-at-a-record-low?_amp=true The 4 teams this year no matter who advances should draw massive ratings.

@win2bfree, @trickydlck and @row Z, your boy Jake Browning got a nice win tonight against Jacksonville.
  21. Basketball yeah. Football not so much.
  22. You guys are kicking butt in both rev sports this year. Congrats. It's hard to be excellent in both. Kinda reminds me a little of our 2004 year. Fiesta Bowl and the Sweet 16 for hoops. Bogut and Smith were # 1 picks in the draft. This is also about the time that our school pretty much put all our eggs into the football basket. A few bright spots in hoops after this but nothing like the hoops program was under Big Rick.
  23. "And where is this coming from? I've been nothing but an amazing person and total victim on this board. People here are just mean to me and don't appreciate me. They swear at me, call me names and get me so sad that I tag those posters every chance I get because I hate this behavior. You P12 fans here aren't interested in real discussions. I've started my own threads just to get attention from the posters I accuse. When I don't get that attention, I will go into the main P12 board threads to try and get more attention. As soon as you, @utenation and @Orange grow up and stop the name calling, you will realize I'm always right. If @Chile_Ute wants to start acting like a child with insults, I will attack him too."
  24. Boise's Taylen Green out. Freak of nature and talented. Very raw in the passing game. Boise has had several OCs/QB coaches in the last few years so I don't think he's been developed properly. 6'6" amazing speed. 99% chance he's going P5. I like this kid. https://www.kmvt.com/2023/12/04/boise-state-quarterback-taylen-green-enter-transfer-portal/
