So much easier to lie and coerce testimony behind closed doors.  What a farce.

In a secret interview, Rep. Adam Schiff, leader of the House Democratic effort to impeach President Trump, pressed former United States special representative to Ukraine Kurt Volker to testify that Ukrainian officials felt pressured to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden's son Hunter as a result of Trump withholding U.S. military aid to Ukraine.

Volker denied that was the case, noting that Ukrainian leaders did not even know the aid was being withheld and that they believed their relationship with the U.S. was moving along satisfactorily, without them having done anything Trump mentioned in his notorious July 25 phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

When Volker repeatedly declined to agree to Schiff's characterization of events, Schiff said, "Ambassador, you're making this much more complicated than it has to be."

It's all falling apart for Dickstain Donnie:

https://www.yahoo.com/news/blockade-against-impeachment-crumbling-witnesses-121722283.html

WASHINGTON — The White House’s trenchant declaration to House impeachment investigators last week was unequivocal: No more witnesses or documents for a “totally compromised kangaroo court.”

But just a week later, it has become clear that President Donald Trump’s attempts to stonewall the Democrat-led inquiry that has imperiled his presidency and ensnared much of his inner circle are crumbling.

One by one, a parade of Trump administration career diplomats and senior officials has offered a cascade of revelations. Those accounts have corroborated and expanded upon key aspects of the whistleblower complaint that spawned the impeachment inquiry into whether the president abused his power to enlist Ukraine to help him in the 2020 presidential election.

Pure CNN BS from the evil one.

"Inviting a foreign government to undertake investigations for the purpose of influencing an upcoming U.S. election would be wrong. Withholding foreign aid in order to pressure a foreign government to take such steps would be wrong. I did not and would not ever participate in such undertakings," his opening statement reads.

Instead, he will say he believed the administration was pushing for "a public embrace of anti-corruption reforms by Ukraine" as a precondition for the meeting.

"Nothing about that request raised any red flags for me, Ambassador Volker, or Ambassador Taylor," Sondland will say. Taylor, a career State Department official, is the top diplomat to Ukraine. Volker resigned as special envoy in late September after the extent of his role in facilitating Giuliani's efforts was revealed.

But Taylor did raise a red flag in September. In text messages turned over to Congress by Volker and first obtained by ABC News, Taylor tells Volker and Sondland, "I think it's crazy to withhold security assistance for help with a political campaign."

In his testimony Thursday, Sondland will confirm that after receiving that message, he called Trump directly and asked him what he wanted from Ukraine.

"The President responded, 'Nothing. There is no quid pro quo.' The President repeated: 'no quid pro quo' multiple times. This was a very short call. And I recall the President was in a bad mood," Sondland will say.

Elijah Cummings was kept busy to the very end of his life leading an investigation into Donald Trump before passing away at the age of 68 on Wednesday, his aides have said.

The chairman of the House Oversight Committee was signing subpoenas from his hospital bed, one aide told the New York Times.

Yeah, we the public can’t see the testimony, GOP isn’t allowed to ask questions, and the Rats leak after the hearIngs.  Do you believe this is transparency in action?

Thankfully “, today it comes out Burr’s Senate Intel committee is going to call every secretive Rat House witness and hold public hearings, under oath, with both sides asking questions.

This Schiff ruse is a panicked Hail Mary now that Barr is interviewing Brennan and Clapper along with underlings.

Oh right, the "nothing to see here, LOOK OVER THERE!!!" investigation that makes zero fucking sense.
