Would I vote Penix over Nix for the Heisman? I would. I think Jayden Daniels went after the stats, and LSU was content to let him do that because they lost a bunch of games and weren’t playing for anything in November. So he’s third on my ballot. The Pac-12 CG was for the conference, the CFP, and the Heisman, and to the victor goes the spoils. That said, I think Daniels likely wins a narrow vote over Penix.

Without the transfer portal I’m in full agreement, but I think the expectation is Thompson will not be the guy in 24 so giving him that trial period isn’t a priority.

Yeah, Ohio State would have been my preferred choice, too. Would have been nice to cap this season with a resounding win over a high profile school. The cache with Liberty just isn’t there. Still, Tulane beat SC last year, so hopefully the team is more mature than I and takes it seriously.

I find Texas in the CFP distasteful too, they’re one of the two fanbases out there I can’t stand (Ohio State being the other). But if Fla State loses today, I’d give them the 4. The B1G was better than the Big 12 this year but I’d reward a conference champ + that road win over Bama is better than Ohio State’s win over Notre Dame. Still distasteful tho, I agree. At least it would come at the expense of the other fanbase I hate.

I hope Fla State loses today and Texas jumps Ohio State to get the 4 seed. Georgia vs Texas would be a fun 1v4. Also, fuck Ohio State. I know there’s not much difference between the 2/3, but Washington really should be the 2 seed.
