Orange
I don't think people really understand just how difficult it is for, say, a drug charge to be overturned after a defendant pleads guilty. Even if there's absolute proof of innocence, judges typically don't overturn that unless there's a clear instance of someone pleading guilty involuntarily. This is the clearest sign yet that America's democracy is dead.

glduck
El oh fucking el at the Supreme Court asking if a subpoena for Trump’s tax returns interferes with his ability to do his job. Could this possibly distract him from binge watching Fox News and tweeting all day?
Orange
Well, back when we had a Supreme Court that considered something other than covering donald trump's ass for him, that might've mattered.
Orange
Pompeo, Barr and McConnell may be the three worst human beings on the planet. https://www.commondreams.org/news/2020/05/19/pompeo-openly-admits-he-asked-trump-fire-inspector-general-because-he-wasnt-doing
Scscsc89
It’s legal for Trump to fire an IG for any reason — but explicitly illegal for Pompeo to act in a way that hinders an IG investigation.
Orange
The IG system was broken to begin with. Trump is just the stress test it needed. Time to make them independent of the executive completely. By law.
Scscsc89
I still do not understand why this shit wasn’t cleaned up after Watergate, Whitewater. I know, I know, no one ever foresaw a president as immoral as Trump AND a majority political party so okay with it.

Orange
I have that entire movie committed completely to memory so I didn't even have to watch that clip. "Sire, won't we hit our own troops?" "Yes. But we'll hit theirs, as well. We have reserves. Attack."

Like I said, the Trump Admin reminds me very much of Longshank's "Admin/policy". Like "Phillip, The High Counselor", many Trump staffers have met the same doom. What are the warning signs? As far as I can tell, you've yet to post a SINGLE thought about the billions sent to huge corporations that are spent on stock buybacks. YOUR party decided no oversight was needed.
