Quack 12 Posted February 4, 2020 Share Posted February 4, 2020 Well, since you mentioned him on another thread, I think the Republican party is generally more extreme to the right, and much of that can be credited to Rush Limbaugh and the rise of right-wing radio. It was Limbaugh who started the whole "liberal media" BS, when he basically meant anyone but him was "liberal media." What's happening in the Democratic party is a reflection of where the Republicans have gone over the past 30 years. Luckily, the Democrats have kept them out of the White House for 16 of those years, and maybe they can do it again. Tax rates were 70% for the top earners. Now they're 34%. By what metric could you possibly say democrats are more extreme? We literally have Joe Biden operating on the same blue-dog democrat bullshit he used in the 1980s, LEADING the democratic nomination. It's like you refuse to pay attention to anything.
