Mano
Amway Coaches Poll The Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports is conducted weekly throughout the regular season using a panel of head coaches at FBS schools. The panel is chosen by random draw, conference by conference plus independents, from a pool of coaches who have indicated to the American Football Coaches Association their willingness to participate. Each coach submits a Top 25 with a first-place vote worth 25 points, second place 24, and so on down to one point for 25th. Chad Sexington
My bad. I thought they had two losses, Cal and Oregon. I guess I forgot about the Stanford loss.
Mano
AP Top 25 Poll The Associated Press began its college football poll on Oct. 19, 1936, and it is now the longest-running poll of those that award national titles at the end of the season. The preseason poll was started in 1950. A panel of 62 sports writers and broadcasters from around the country votes on the poll weekly. Yeah, though it makes it appear as if Oregon has a 67% chance of defeating Utah, which I don't agree with. That said, SC still has a decent shot of winning the South, so that's not really what the poll is trying to convey...

I can see USC going 4-1 and Utah having 1 tough game left (@ Washington) so a possible tie at 7-2.

Most Utes are really worried about the Washington game.. Including myself. UW has had our number. Here's the bright side.. We had a real ASU and WSU problem as well and we answered those questions this year. I also see USC with 2 more potential losses. ASU and Oregon.. And the UCLA game is never a given for them.. I think it's going to be tight.. Oregon has the North pretty well locked down.
Orange
Beavs are in second place in the North. I just want that to be on the record.
Mano
The thing with USC, I could see them running the table, but having them lose ANY of their remaining games individually wouldn't shock me either. IF Tyler Huntley is healthy, I see Utah losing at most 1 more (most likely UW). If 7-2 ( or even 8-1 ) will be good enough to win the South this year is still in doubt, depends on what USC does the rest of the way.
Scscsc89
My bet is that neither USC or Utah will run the table. To me, the big question is whether USC can keep it to just one more loss. (My second bet is no).

Not complaining, it all evens out over time, just would have been nice if the stars aligned for favorable schedule with Utah's best team in a decade. UW has three losses - two of which are to Cal and Stanford - an average team and a team that probably won't win four games. At this point, UW shouldn't be ranked (in this meaningless poll).
