Mano
I think there are enough coaching vacancies in college football right now to warrant a thread.

Any Cal fans hearing anything?
All Hail
I've been hearing for the past few weeks that Dykes is looking to exit. Fine by me!

PAC MAN
Given that this conference very competitive, I wouldn't be surprised if some coaches decided to get out of the west. AH brought up Dykes. An UA fan brought up Rich Rod. Mora will always be mentioned. Will Shaw leave for the NFL? I wouldn't rule out MacIntyre if CU goes to a bowl game this season. clpp01
Have several major programs already looking for new coaches and it wouldn't surprise me at all if any of Texas, Georgia or Auburn opened up this year as well. Will end up trickling down so once the top dogs pick their next coach we will see a few mid level power conference schools such as an Arizona or a North Carolina have to fill openings as well. All Hail
Is this a good year to need a coach though? There are a lot of up and coming coaches looking to jump ship. No big names but Cal doesn't land big names anyhow.

I think Rich Rod's star might soon be fading especially if the Wildcats keep getting blown out or has Rich Rod already gotten a job by now? You said Cal was recommitting itself to athletics. Maybe you'll be adding more to your handle by next season.

I think other schools will look at Rich Rod as the guy who was able to go to Arizona and turn them into a winning program and a coach who has led his team to 3 BCS/Access bowls and was partly responsible for Michigan sugar bowl appearance a few years ago. If RichRod were to leave then IMO, Virginia Tech would be the most likely place for him to go as he is friends with their AD who worked together back at WVU. All Hail
Well, okay, withdrawing from their shitty commitment and re-applying with firm commitment? That's more like it. And if we re-hire Tedford I quit.
Orange
BC Lions made the playoffs? You sure we can't tempt you with another Tedford tenure?.... http://www.vancitybuzz.com/2015/11/bc-lions-clinch-playoff-berth/

All Hail
I don't think he's healthy enough for the job. His failures weren't for a lack of trying as he would spent all night in his office working. He even had a nice bed in his office that his wife had installed because he would fall asleep there so often. To call the guy detail oriented is the ultimate understatement and he stressed himself to extreme sickness when he couldn't figure out how to fix his offense. It's still bizarre to me that a guy could come to a school with piratically no history of winning and the worst facilities in the conference and instantly turn them into a winner. Then receive the facilities he had long requested as well as prestige on the recruiting front only to have it all come crashing down. His last 3 qbs were Sean Mansion, Beau Sweeny and Zack Maynard. All of them terrible.
Scscsc89
I remember watching USC v Cal at AT&T in 2011 -- that may be an insult to the word terrible. It never made any sense -- the dude was supposed to be a quarterback guru.
