You guys are kicking butt in both rev sports this year. Congrats. It's hard to be excellent in both. Kinda reminds me a little of our 2004 year. Fiesta Bowl and the Sweet 16 for hoops. Bogut and Smith were # 1 picks in the draft. This is also about the time that our school pretty much put all our eggs into the football basket. utenation Posted December 10, 2023 Author Share Posted December 10, 2023 Utah with a great win over an overrated BYU team. BYU was ranked 14th and #1 in Net rankings all week. BYU is still # 3 in Net rankings and Utah moved up to 32. Utah playing solid with Keita back after being injured for the Houston and St. John’s games. Should be smooth sailing to finish out OOC with two cupcakes remaining. We start off conference play with a very good(so far) WSU squad. At least it’s in SLC. CU walloped the ACC's 15th ranked Maimi at a neutral court in Brooklyn. Utah beat 14th ranked BYU 73-69. And Washington upset 7th ranked Gonzaga 78-73. The Utes have been so far out of the national radar scene it's going to take a minute for voters to realize we still play basketball. CU is close to the T25 once again. The fact that the Utah/BYU game was on the P12 network sure didn't help.
