I'm guessing ucla ends up at about #12, consider we will probably have kept 3 kids from Mora's class. Chip is a relentless recruiter

Maybe he's changed since his UO days, but it was pretty much common knowledge back then that Chip wasn't exactly thrilled with the recruiting part of his job.

well:

he was always very good at it;

he was handed a much better roster here, it’s entirely possible he saw what he was inheriting from mora and knew he had to bust ass on a ticking clock for a much-needed infusion of talent;

its also entirely possible now that it’s clear the nfl is not for him and he didn’t enjoy broadcasting that he’s embraced an aspect of the job he used to dislike out of necessity. there’s nowhere else to go.

He used to enjoy it, it wasn't until the Lyles stuff that he started disliking it.

i’ve heard this several times over the years. how does that work exactly... if he’s willing to defy mom does he just have to wait till he’s 18 to sign (either a NLI or a financial aid agreement)? it would be weird to be 18 and still need a parent’s signature, no?
