We as a conference have fooled usc — into believing that Helton is a good coach and that USC can compete with the best teams in the nation like they used to — by failing to offer a true measuring stick for their conference success. Yet, when they play an elite team like Bama or Ohio State (and no, penn State was not elite, not with that defense) they get smoked and worse yet, they quit before halftime. USC needs to fire Helton if they want to become a nationally relevant team again. Otherwise, they will collect an absurd amount of talent and be relegated to hanging around the top 10.
