New week and new month.

WSU @ UCLA: UCLA three point favorites for this game at home against WSU who has played well this season?  That's surprising as Bug mentioned earlier.

CU @ ASU: I had the Buffs at 3-2 at this point after playing three ranked teams (two on the road) and two rival teams.  Looking at the ASU schedule, CU could be the last chance for a win for awhile as they have @UW, WSU, @Utah, @UCLA, and UO before ending the season against Arizona.  CU is currently favored by 5.5.

OSU @ Cal: Beavs are 10 point favorites at this point and the Bears face a difficult schedule down the stretch like ASU.

UA @ USC: Trojans are 21.5 favorites at this point.  After the scare in Boulder, the Trojans just might be more focused on this game.

Are you doing your best imitation of a boring P12 network anchor or something?   What are you adding here?

Buffs go to Tempe this weekend and despite the loss at home against USC, there were some positives such as several Coach Prime recruited freshman players stepping up and one of them made a name for himself against the USC secondary.  When Travis Hunter got injuried against CSU, Coach Prime said a minimum of three weeks and that three weeks is up this Saturday so will he make a return in this one?  What CU missed out of Hunter was his ability to take an extra defender with him in coverage which frees up the other WRs.  That is something that worked very well against TCU and hopefully CU's offense gets started earlier than the last few games (would have been helpful against USC).  The Buffs D will give up yards but why not just go for broke with those pass rushes that could lead to turnovers?

Win this one and CU has a good chance for a bowl game.  Stanford isn't quite as strong as they used to be and they will face the Buffs after the ASU game.  Then it is a bye week followed by a road trip to the Rose Bowl to face UCLA.  I'm curious to see how Coach Prime handles two weeks of prep for UCLA given how much he was a film room guy while playing in the NFL.

Coach Prime, Coach Prime, Coach Prime, Coach Prime, Coach Prime, Coach Prime, Coach Prime.

Do they ever call him Deion, or Coach Sanders, or Coach Neon? Why is it Coach Prime, every fucking time?

On another note, I loved Jonathan Smith's impromptu "Milk the Clock" signal.

It appears it's because it is what he wants to be called.  It doesn't seem that offensive.  It's not like renaming Twitter as "X"...

You can watch an entire telecast of a CU football game and never know the real name of the Buffs' coach.  It's not "offensive" but it is stupid af, particularly when Jalapeno uses "coach prime" 8x in one paragraph of a post.

You have to remember. Jalapeno doesn't realize there are 11 other teams in the conference other than CU. It's all CU all the time with that guy. No articles, stats, links or mentions of any other school. He spent the whole summer bashing this conference while telling glory day stories of the B12 and B8. A few weeks ago, he was back to calling himself a P12 fan.

This guy is all over the map. Unless it comes to talking about his guy Coach "Prime".

Does the Rose Bowl really give the "home team" that much of an advantage?  Maybe it's more about WSU being away from their home.

Yes, it’s definitely more about NOT having to travel to Pullman.  Flight/buses/hotels probably all play a factor in favoring the home team.

8! Daughter is 5. My son eats, sleeps, and breathes anything sports related right now.

I still remember the photo you posted here of your son and I'm like it's eight years already?!?  Time really flies these days.

Think he's not going be swayed by his coach to flip to the Buffs?

100% agree with this.  There has been an influx of new Buff fans who are Coach Prime followers.  There is talk that CU is Black America's team at the moment and there has been videos of many new people buying up CU gear at the stadium shop during ESPN GameDay and Fox Sports Noon.  Maybe it has something to do with four of the last five CU football coaching hires being black including Coach Prime.

CU boosters are already hard at work raising funds to extend Coach Prime.

I guarantee it doesn't.
