No, you totally captured me with the cargo shorts (I even still have an old pair of camos), but I've never bought New Balance shoes (though I hear they're good!), and my daughters put me into low-rise boot-cut jeans many years ago (I'm sure they're out of style too, now). I've also never worn a jersey with someone else's name on the back.

I can understand heat-of-the-moment enthusiasm, but didn't most of us figure the Pac-12 was out of the playoff as soon as UW lost to Auburn? Given Oregon's pathetic OOC schedule, and that horrible Stanford loss, I certainly wasn't looking at them as playoff material, and I didn't think they'd win in Pullman. But hey, "FARR ARROYO NOW!"

Boot-cut is out, my friend.  Don't worry, I've still got a few left tho, because I regret every purchase I ever make, except food.

Word was when UW lost to Auburn that they might overcome it given (a) it was more of a home game for Auburn than UW and (b) it was close and (c) it was early season.

I'll admit that at the time even I thought Cristobal called a masterful game and thought maybe Herbert would have a Mariota-like run.

This was posted in the comments on UW Dawgpound by AndyPanda. If true, I think duck fans should be feeling relatively good about their chances on Saturday:

Aside from ASU's win at OSU last year,

against a DOA Beavers team in a day game on a dry day, neither Arizona school has won a game at ANY of the 4 NW schools played on or after Halloween since ’06. Only twice have any of those games not been at least a double digit loss. This has included ranked teams visiting teams that were less than.

The weather in the NW in the latter part of the season is usually a set of circumstances the desert schools not only aren’t prepared for, practically speaking, there is no way they can even begin to prepare for it. They are usually just looking to get thru it and get back onto the airplane as quickly as possible.

If Herm can pull out a win against an Oregon team that plays better at home than on the road by an order of magnitude, the #HermEdwardsExperience will really be a truly exceptional experience.

Arizona:

Won @ Oregon on 11/18/06 and 11/11/78

Won @ OSU on 11/4/95, 11/2/85, 11/14/81, and 11/22/80

Won @ Washington on 11/6/04 and 11/5/88

Won @ WSU on 11/8/08, 11/4/06, and 11/8/86

ASU:

Won @ Oregon 11/10/84

Won @ OSU on 11/18/17, 11/2/96, 11/18/77

Won @ Washington on 11/8/08 and 11/4/89

Won @ WSU 11/5/05, 10/31/98, and 11/10/90

Looking that up I noticed that both Arizona schools didn't have very many opportunities to play up North on or after Halloween. Pretty stupid stat.

I agree this is a silly stat, and as nearly as I can tell, it isn't true either.

UA won at WSU on 11/8/2008, and ASU won at UW the very same day. The Sun Devils also beat WSU on Halloween 2013.

Still, the 'Zonas are a combined 4-14 by this rather absurd measurement since the 2007 season.
